Chaohu lake is one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China. At present

it is confronted with the problem of water environmental pollution and eutrophi cation. According to studying types of land use and agricultural movement

it shows the relationship between agricultural movement and non-point source poll ution. Some approaches on agric ultural landscape design and agricultural movement for controlling nonpoint sour ce pollution of Chaohu basin are suggested

which will be helpful for providin g necessary scientific basis for the control of non-point source pollution in the Chaohu lake basin.
