摘要

探讨了“3S”技术在水蚀荒漠化研究中的应用，并以黄土高原地区为例，尝试了运用MapGIS软件制图过程的分析功能，完成了黄土高原地区水蚀荒漠化现状图的制作，建立了图形数据库和属性数据库。这一成果为中国三北地区荒漠化的研究和治理，特别是黄土高原地区的生态环境建设将起到积极的作用。

Abstract

The Loess Plateau region is chosen to be researched in this paper. The method and procedure of the application of "3S" in the research of the waterpower desertification is discussed in this paper

and an analysis method of cartography based on MapGIS is attempted. The design of map on current status of the Loess Plateau region is finished

and a graphic database and corresponding character database are set up. This work will help the researching and renovating of the "three north" area in China

especially it will actively work on the environment constructing in Northwest China.
